ASTHMA INITIATIVE INTERNATIONAL is a global non-governmental organization working to support the quality of life and achieve positive health outcomes for all ages living with this chronic condition especially those in underserved communities.
Asthma initiative international seek to unite advocates on behalf of all living with asthma, allergy and related conditions.
We engage in global campaign effort in collaboration with individuals, local and international organizations, government agencies to raise awareness and educate millions with easy to understand resources geared towards improving the overall management of asthma vis-à-vis,improving access to care and providing affordable medication to individuals with asthma.

ASTHMA SCHOOL PROJECT (THE PILOT TEAM)
Our goal is to work with every school so that we can ensure that every child is taken care of in an asthma emergency.
To this regard, the organization is developing plans to credit schools as ASTHMA-FRIENDLY.
OUR ASTHMA PILOTS ENSURES THAT AN ASTHMA POLICY IS IMPLEMENTED, IDENTIFYING STUDENTS WITH ASTHMA AND ENSURING THAT THE SCHOOL HAS AN UP-TO-DATE ASTHMA EMERGENCY KITS.THESE KITS INCLUES: SPECIAL AUTHORITY FOR ACCESS TO RELIEVER INHALER, SPACERTO ADMINISTER ON ASTHMA MANAGEMENT.
COMMUNITY TRAIN
Asthma is one of the leading causes of death in the rural communities. The community asthma train is focused on providing better asthma education and case management. The train is provided to work with the communities and families to establish goals for asthma control and identify barriers to good asthma control. The barriers could include, for example, lack of understanding of asthma and its medication, lack of medication adherence, environmental triggers at home, schools, churches or mosques.
Many of rural dwellers have low incomes and are medically underserved, putting them at increased risk of asthma.
THE W.H.O SAYS:
The strongest risk factors for developing asthma are a combination of genetic predisposition with environmental exposure to inhaled substances and particles that may provoke allergic reactions or irritate the airways.
SOME COMMON TRIGGERS ARE:
Exposure to allergens i.e., dusts particles, pets, poultry and mold.
Tobacco smoking and air pollution
Vigorous exercise.
Viral infections like common cold or flu.
Extreme emotional states (e.g., fear, anger, distress).

Be prepared always-always carry a reliever inhaler and identify care that tells people what to do in the event of an emergency.
